Notification & Warning:
There was a female mountain lion and 2 kittens that were found dead recently on Blue Valley Ranch near the Blue River. It was confirmed they were infected and ultimately died due to the Bird Flu.
It has been determined that Dogs and Bears can contract the disease from eating on other infected species and or feces such as other sick or dead birds and bear scat.
Please keep a close watch on your pets to make sure they don't approach any dead birds or questionable dead animals etc.
Human infection is very rare but not impossible.
If you see any dead birds or wildlife, please mitigate the risks immediately. Please notify a board member immediately if assistance is needed to mitigate the risks of any dead birds or wildlife found on District property.
